HELLO!
I am an illustrator, graphic designer, and yoga teacher living in Ottawa, Canada with my husband and 8-year old son.
My passion is children's book illustration — I love the idea of being a part of creating the imaginary journey a reader or listener experiences from a storybook. Many picture books from my youth remained so vivid in my memory that when I came across them years later, I was immediately transported back to that magical feeling I had as a child. These images were so engaging, so powerful, they stayed with me — how special is that? To create that connection with a reader, well, I can't think of anything better.
Though comfortable illustrating digitally, I am refocusing on exploring traditional and mixed media, specifically loving the qualities of gouache, water-soluble crayon, and pencil crayon. It's all a fantastic journey, and I thank you for checking out my work!
